Financial Planner Arthur McKee of McKee Investment Planning Guest Speaker at April 15 FPRA MeetingTuesday, April 7Members and guests of the Dick Pope/Polk County Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) will gain insights on how to survive financially during the current economic downturn when Arthur McKee of Lakeland-based McKee Investment Planning (MIP) serves as guest speaker at the FPRA DP/PC chapter's monthly professional development meeting on Wednesday, April 15. The meeting, to be held at the Lakeland Yacht & Country Club, will begin at 11:30 am with networking, followed by McKees talk which will focus on financial truths that transcend any economic environment. McKee will answer questions following his talk. The meeting also includes a buffet luncheon and is priced at $20 for FPRA members and $25 for guests. "With everyone concerned about surviving these tough economic times, we thought it would be appropriate to present a financial expert who could provide us with some honest, unbiased advice. As a result, we recruited Arthur McKee to share his expertise as our April guest speaker," said Kris Keprios of Polk County Tourism and Sports Marketing, president of the Dick Pope/Polk County FPRA chapter. A certified financial planner, McKee established McKee Investment Planning (MIP) as a vehicle for providing clients with sound investment services, as well as "honest and unbiased advice." In addition to serving clients through MIP, he also teaches graduate level finance as an adjunct professor at Webster University. Before establishing his own firm, McKee served as a financial advisor for Legg Mason, a financial consultant for Chick-fil-A, and a business consultant/investment analyst for Mobil Oil where he analyzed investment opportunities in the Latin America region encompassing 28 different countries. McKee graduated magna cum laude with a Masters Degree in Finance and International Business from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College and earned his BSBA in Finance from the University of Central Florida. |
