July Chapter Meeting

Wednesday, July 21
11:45 AM

Join us for the July Chapter Meeting for the Dick Pope Polk County Chapter of FPRA at Lakeland Yacht Club on Lake Hollingsworth.

Meeting Topic: Outrageous Trust

As Public Relations professionals, we have the opportunity to take the lead in changing the condition of our social, business, political and civic dialogue by helping our companies. organizations and clients better focus on the foundation of relationships and the concept of trust. Relationships are the channel by which we achieve our objectives and Outrageous Trust is the foundation for more fulfilling and profitable relationships. Enhancement of trust always contributes to stronger positioning, reduction of costs and enhancement of your personal and organizational brand. Outrageous Trust will help you find clarity, make better decisions, improve relationships and get better results.

Outrageous Trust is built on two primary concepts to help individuals and organizations raise the level of trust in their relationships. One is a set of governing principles and the other is a model providing an in depth road map as to how trust is earned, built, cultivated, repaired and restored. With both aspects fully engaged, people and organizations will experience immediate results in their relationships. In addition, leaders will find significant opportunities to improve results in their organizations.

Speaker Info: Roy W. Reid, APR, CPRC is a leading authority on improving results by improving relationships through a greater focus and emphasis on trust. His clients include Fortune 500 companies, private companies, entrepreneurs, professional service firms and public agencies. Roy works to help clients assess risk and issues within the organization and in the marketplace, and then develop strategies to manage the identified issues from the inside/out. In 2008, Roy was honored as the first individual recipient of the Frank R. Stansberry / Public Relations Society of America Ethics Award in recognition of his commitment to ethics in his life, profession and business. Roy also provides workshops and training programs to clients in a number of industry sectors. He speaks at colleges and universities and is currently working with the University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Business developing programs to teach, train and mentor senior executives and students on the impact and cultivation of trust and relationships in productivity and performance as it relates to operations, sales, marketing and public relations.
